My photography takes me to many varied nature conservation locations in the UK and I am particularly interested in rewilding locations and organisations. I hope through my work that I can inspire others, particularly the young to enjoy and participate in nurturing our vulnerable and dwindling UK wildlife.
Having purchased my first camera, a Brownie Box Camera, at the age of 8, I have been fascinated by all aspects of wildlife photograph, particularly UK wildlife. In 2016 I joined Bookham Camera Club where I have learnt a huge amount and have received immense help, support and motivation from members and through speakers and competitions.
In 2017 I attained a distinction accreditation with the Royal Photographic Society (RPS)and became a Licentiate Member - LRPS. In 2018 I attained the Judges Choice award from the Surrey Photographic Society in the annual, Nature Category, competition. In April 2019 I achieved a distinction from the RPS, for my work depicting the breeding lifecycle of the Great Crested Grebe, (see below), and became an Associate member - ARPS. In 2020 I became a Surrey Photographic Society judge.

I am surrounded both by natural beauty and all manner of wildlife - birds, animals, insects, and flora of all kinds. I use my camera to document nature and then print images with a focus on the magic I find in daily life, in the garden, parks, nature reserves and wetland centres. My pictures endeavour to show action and tell wildlife stories although pure animal portraits shots can also be stunning.
